This holiday home is situated in one of the loveliest little pockets of Hermanus, namely Kwaaiwater, which is between the Marine Hotel and the circle at Lizette’s Restaurant.
The home has splendid views of the ocean from almost every room, and is situated on the famous Cliff Path which runs all the way from the New Harbour to Grotto Beach.
Fernkloof Nature Reserve is a stone’s throw away. Fernkloof is a hiker’s paradise with walks ranging from 20 mins to 6 hours, and is well known to botanists for its amazing flora.
Hermanus Golf Club with a 27-hole course is a 3 minute drive from the house!
LAYOUT OF HOME
Hermanus Hideaway is a 5-bedroomed home, all rooms ensuite with full bathrooms.
3 bedrooms are situated upstairs, and have splendid views of sea or mountain. These rooms share a large patio that gets lovely late afternoon sunshine.
2 bedrooms are on the ground floor, so have quick direct access to the cliff path.
The drawing room is calm and spacious, one can sit for hours watching the waves obliquely making their way towards the shore. There is a seafacing patio off the drawing room.
The TV room on ground level has a great conversation bar, 2 bar fridges, ice-making machine, and pool table.
Dining and Kitchen area are open plan; 16 guests can be seated at the dining table, whereas breakfast can be taken at a smaller table. Kitchen is well equipped with all that one would expect, and the fireplace makes it very cosy on colder evenings.
There is a 15m swimming pool, braai and entertainment area behind the house; sheltered from any chilly onshore winds.
This house features safely shutters which can be dropped down in the evenings so one feels very secure. It has surround sound music in all the general areas of the home, staff quarters, scullery, pantry and double garaging.
This home is very comfortable but one also feels that one can relax, and even walk through the house with sandy or wet feet!
